Itinerary

01

Day 01:- Cochin to Munnar

Upon arrival at arrive airport/Railway station, our representative will meet and assist you to transfer to Munnar. Munnar En route enjoy beautiful streams, small waterfalls, rubber, pepper, cardamom and tea plantations and thick forests. On arrival at Munnar, check into for hotel. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 02 :- Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast,proceed for full day Munnar sightseeing. This covers visit to the Tea factory and tea museum,the Muttupetty dam,Echo point,Kundala lake and so on….Afternoon visit the Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National park which is a 30 min drive away from Munnar town. The main attraction of this park is the Nilgiri thaars-a rare species of mountain goats, protected here. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 03 :- Munnar to Thekkady.

Morning drive to Thekkady through cardamom hills. Check into the hotel. After lunch visit spice plantations like cardamom, pepper, coffee and tea estate etc… On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay at Thekkady.

Day 04 :- Thekkady to Kumarakom

After a refreshing breakfast, leave for Kumarakom, a land lying on the banks of Lake Vembanad, enveloped with stunning scenery. Engage in what the locals master in - pluck huge coconuts and learn de-husking, breaking and grating them to prepare delicious dishes, flavoured with exotic spices! Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a home to thousand and more of rare species of birds, is also included in the itinerary. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay at Kumarakom. .

Day 05 :- Kumarakom to Alleppey

MAfter breakfast, depart for Alleppey by road (Approx: 155 kms / 4 hrs). On arrival, check into houseboat and spend the day at leisure. Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy lunch, evening tea/coffee with snacks and dinner on it. Stay overnight in houseboat.

Day 06 :- Alleppey to Kovalam

After a refreshing breakfast served onboard, check out from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam. Up on arrival, check in to a hotel. This beach town ranked high among international tourists is an ideal destination to feel the tropical sun and to feel contented about the golden suntan. Water enthusiasts have a lot of beach activities to indulge in like - kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. Occasionally walk into some of the certified massaging centers alongside the beach and pamper yourself with an exotic herbal, body- toning massage. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

Day 07 :-Kovalam-Trivandram-Kovalam

Morning after breakfast set out on a sightseeing tour to Trivandrum. Your itinerary will include places of interests like Padmanabhaswami temple, renowned for its towering gopuras and temples arts and paintings. The main pavilion of the temple stands impressive with 400 marvelously granite carved pillars. Your guided sightseeing tour will cover the rest of the attractions too. Later in the evening travel back to Kovalam for an overnight stay at kovalam.
